About
The Standard PLLC is a community based organization providing comprehensive psychotherapy or doula services for underserved individuals and families. Services are provided via telehealth or in the community ( Eastpointe and additional cities in close proximity) at a safe location of consumer choice. Through community collaborations, networking, partnerships and referrals.
The Standard PLLC is able to use a person centered approach to promote good quality services and increase supports that are necessary to meet needs and achieve desired goals of members served.
The Mission
The Standard PLLC provides services to members in underserved communities that may be impacted by challenges with receiving adequate services/support due to underlying racial disparities and injustices.
Support and services provided, aim to assist members with navigating through challenging systems that are hindering members from access to good quality services, and may have an impact on overall well-being due to the lack of support and services available.

Vision
The Standard PLLC encourages and acknowledges its members as being the experts in their care and in the community. We encourage members’ willingness to increase knowledge, self awareness, advocacy and individual growth.
This will lead to increases in community leaders and mentors that will promote positive change and address community concerns improving the healthier connections in the community they reside in and are a part of.
What we Do
Decrease discrimination, racism, and systemic injustice in businesses, agencies, education systems etc.
Equitable Access
Increase access to equitable maternity care and mental health services in underserved communities where the needs may be higher and good quality services may not be consistent.
Positive Outcomes
Increase positive birth outcomes and safety for birthing parent(s), and families.
At-Risk Support
Increasing support provided to at risk populations.
Health Stabilization
Promote stabilization of mental health / physical health conditions.
End Discrimination
Decrease discrimination, racism, and systemic injustice in businesses, agencies, education systems etc.
Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy services are provided by a Christian Licensed Clinical Social worker, to teens, adults and seniors. Evidence based interventions and services are provided with specialization in treating individuals impacted by trauma, anxiety ,depression, mental health disorders, other life stressors, etc . Services are provided are community based or via tele-health.
Doula Services
Doula services are provided by a trained birth professional/birth coach who will provide support, education, and additional referrals/resources as necessary throughout the birthing experience. Services may be provided to the birthing person and family during the pregnancy journey and during labor.
Pregnant individuals are the key expert in their care and their experiences and the doula will assist birthing persons with needed resources, increasing education to make informed decisions and promote body autonomy. Birthing persons are interested in adding doulas to their care team, and working with a doula is known to reduce the risk of a number of complications during childbirth
Postpartum services may be available depending on needs of the individual and availability of the doula. Doula will assist with birth planning and making adjustments to birth planning as medically necessary. Services are provided in the home, community , telehealth and during labor in the hospital.
Community Inclusion and Engagement
The Standard PLLC, values and supports community engagement by volunteering with local community organizations to increase support, networking , building stronger connections and embracing unity. Community meetups and building stronger community connections are valued and encouraged to strengthen communities.
Special Thanks
The Standard PLLC was founded by Ms. McNeal who gives credit for the name and inspiration to The Standard Young Adult Ministry , Pastor and Evangelist located at Better Life Church in Eastpointe MI. Ms. McNeal has been inspired to continue to do the work and fulfill her God given purpose and utilize the gift that will consist of Ms.
McNeal continuing to provide services that are necessary to see
change in the communities and need to make an impact in the lives of members across the Tri-county area. Special thanks to God and everyone who has made this possible.
